Me: Psst, babe, wake up!

Her: hon, what is it? It's 2:15am and I have to get up early for work

Me: but the avocado is ripe right *now*

Philomena: Some people have been writing PHP for over 20 years. Is that because it's particularly difficult to finish? Expert: No, software is constantly evolving. Philomena: So they've been writing the same website for 20 years? Expert: No, different projects. Philomena: Have they tried finishing one before starting another? Expert: That's not how software development works. Philomena: My mate Paul spent 20 years building a shed. Turned out he was just an alcoholic. Expert: Right. Philomena: Is PHP like that?

Happy "why don't you fix it yourself?" day to all entitled consumers and #hugops to everyone affected.

A screenshot of a tweet from The Onion ([@]TheOnion) positioned above a photograph. The tweet text reads, "Protestors Criticized For Looting Businesses Without Forming Private Equity Firm First bit.ly/2AeY0zK". The photograph depicts a person in a dark hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans using a sledgehammer to strike a glass door. Shattered glass is visible on the ground and within the door frame.

Congrats to #TheOnion

I've had nothing but great results with Deno so far, but I wanted to self-host a snippet written by someone else and it's a few years old and included a direct import from some CDN, and this doesn't work anymore right now - the imported lib is not on JSR (but on npm) and I've not really had the nerve to try to untangle this (yes, all my deno stuff so far was 100% handwritten or from stdlib).

Maybe I'll get to it, it's just a small tool but I'm a little disappointed. Not in Deno, or the original author, just that maybe this is the first time where it's just as bad as everywhere else if you can't vendor your deps easily.
